He didn't knew him for long, but Crowley noticed quickly that one way to make Corinthian stop making questions was to ask back, and he used it against him when it was necessary. It's not that it was in his nature of a demon to hide and lie -which it was- but also because what Corinthian didn't know it could not hurt him.

The only reason he didn't say anything to Aziraphale when it happened was because he was too afraid it would get them into even more trouble. Nothing was different now, no matter if he's companion was an angel or a nightmare, Hastur would try to hunt them down to make him pay.

He knows that. But he’s never been good at navigating fragile personal situations. He can lie flawlessly, he’s never been particularly good at telling the truth. The success of his life has been based on his ability to manipulate, to mislead. Being honest was never even an option, let alone an issue.

He made a sound that could have been a laugh. He was thinking too much again. "Do you really thing that no one will notice?"
