This seemed to be news for him. He glanced down briefly at the cat, idly scratching her side as she curled up around his arm and playfully kicked at it. Well, that at least explained all the drama that had ensued those first few days of having her.
He didn't look up when he spoke again; in fact, it was almost as though he was pointedly avoiding looking at the demon at all. "I don't care."
There was a small pause. Then, a bit more casually, he continued. "Something tells me you've gone a dragged me into this more than I'd like to be, so I may as well keep you where I can keep an eye on you."
