Well, Alenxander. It is a male name, latinized form of the Greek name Αλεξανδρος (Alexandros), which meant "defending men" from Greek αλεξω (alexo) "to defend, help" and ανηρ (aner) "man" (genitive ανδρος). Like Alexander the Great, King of Macedon, you know.
