The Corinthian didn't even notice the broom until it had practically flown into his back, nudging at him as he ran his hand through the sleeping child's hair. Unlike Crowley however, he didn't seem quite as aggravated at the discovery.

"....I guess it's now or never, then." Then again, he seemed to make up for that with the sheer anxiety rolling off of him.

Yes, now or never. [Crowley rather go with never, but Corinthian looked so stressed about the whole deal with the kid...] Alright..time to go. The kid will awake suddenly once we get there, are you sure that you don't want to wake him now? Less trauma and all that crap.

[He looks down at Daniel again, and after a moment he gently starts to shake him awake.] Come on Danny boy. Time to go home.

From:

[>_· wah...? What do you want I was havign a nice dream. Oh hello there Cowing. He looks at the dark haired man. ]

Cowlee..?

From:

[He's not smiling slightly, really.]

Crowley here's going to help. [And up you come again. He stands, and might be holding the boy a little more protectively than usual.] He knows a shortcut.

From:

[Daniel look up at Corinthian and then back at Crowley again. The demon shudders imperceptible. ] Sure..a shortcut.

[Crowley holds the broom with a hand and moves the other to Corinthian's shoulder.] There we go. [And they are gone.]

[The sudden change from hotel room to vast muddy-red landscape was both unnerving and more than a little disorienting. The heat and dry air hits him like a brick wall, knocks the breath right out of him.

Unconsciously he holds Daniel even tighter. So this was the place Cain had been so terrified of....] Now what?

From:

[Daniel lets go a small cry and buries his face in Corinthians's shirt at the view of that new world. ]

Now you run and wish that I'm faster than them.

[Crowley voice is deeper, harsh, he needs to scream to make himself audible over the wind and growls of the creatures near them. Dark figures where flying over them, wings like bats, faces and rotten corpses too strange and horrible to be described.]

Take the broom.

[Daniel, it's alright Daniel, he's got you. Cori holds him close and holds him tight, and as much as he doesn't want to leave Crowley behind they have one chance at this and he doesn't need to be told twice.

He runs. Snatches the broom away and takes off without a backward glance. It's only after that he realizes he doesn't even know how the damn thing works, and hard as it is to block out and ignore the demons surrounding them he tries to focus on Earth, Daniel's Earth, if he could just get there-]

[Daniel appreciates the holding, and thank for both of you Elphaba's broom is not only an object. The thing has a personality of it's own and it doesn't like this place or the monsters trying to turn her in pieces to, moving up by it's own accord.

The suit of Crowley splits along the seams, he has no time to be picky, if he's going to fight he might as well do it with some advantage. Crowley recognizes some of the demons, co-workers will be the best term to describe them, and sure they recognize him too. He knocks down a few as he flies after the crazy broom, hoping that Corinthian could focus enough to get his ass out of here soon.

Sure, the demons on the ground can jump and the win makes his flying hard and slow, but he's more worried abotu the one who can fly as well. The bat wings fly far away more easily than his feather formed ones.

[Thank god for brooms with mind of their own. Startled as he is at first, Cori's hopping on immediately and holding onto both it and Daniel for dear life. Being up in the air makes things so much easier if he could just ignore all the other....things flying around up there with them.

He just had to focus. He remembered the world, he still knew the people in it, the people that influence it. He could still do this.

[It takes Crowley a moment to notice that they're finally gone, he's too busy avoiding claws and fangs, and causing some damage himself to notice. When he does, he quickly know that it's time for a strategic retreat. The demon flaps his dark wings up, but before he can vanish Crowley feels a a firm grib around his leg, pushing him down. Yellow eyes stare down to meet a red ones and a smug smile.]

Long time no see you, Crawly.

[And he wasn't gone.]

[It's only a split second later that Cori finds himself landing hard, on his back, in the middle of....is this a child's room?]

....Daniel? [He's still holding him, shielded him from the fall. With a small groan he sits up, and immediately starts to look the boy over, you didn't get hurt did you?

He's going to hope to anyone listening that your mother's still sleeping, too.]

[Daniel still has his face buried in the older man chest, but he noticed the change in the atmosphere. He looks up after some more tugging, smiling when he sees the familiar place.]

From:

[That's right Danny, you're home! Just like he promised. And Cori can't help smiling a little, too.] Looks like we made it.

From:

[Elphaba's brooom is still nervous, and trying to fly away from Corinthian's grip. Daniel looks around a bit more, happy to be home. But even he notices something missing.]

Cowlee...?

From:

[Nope, that broom's not going anywhere. The smile falters a little, and he shakes his head.]

He couldn't come. He went back to the beach. [He hopes. Oh god does he hope.

And picking the kid up again, there's a crib over here he's assuming you belong in.]

From:

[You are lucky that the broom can't curse. Even Elphaba has problems controlling it sometimes. She solves it treatening the broom, it usually works.]

Beaa...pretty. [Daniel yawns as Corinthian put him down. Sleeping would be nice.]

From:

[I suppose if it ever comes down to that Cori'll just pull out a lighter on it.]

It is. [That's right kiddo, you just go right to sleep. I think we all deserve a nap after this, yeah? He's lingering at the crib side just long enough to absently pet Danny's hair.] ....say "hi" to Morpheus for me.

[That can work reeeeally well.]

He's yawning again and smiling.] Cowing...[The kid murmurs before to fall sleep completly.]

[He's generally pretty good with threats and stuff B)

A-awwww, Daniel. Cori really is going to miss you more than he'll ever bring himself to admit. One last pat on the back and he's backing away, gripping the broom and concentrating again.

Not half a moment later he's falling to his knees in the middle of the hotel bedroom and goddamn traveling is more exhausting than he remembers it being.]

Crowley? Crowley, I did it. We did it.

And the broom takes advantatge of that and scurrs from his hands, flying away. There's a sound and Maddie appears in the room, his hair up and hissing.

You smell like sulfur and evil thing, daddy. She calms down a bit when she adverts that it's Corithian.]

[He's not too put off by the broom flying off. Or the hissing from Maddie. Hey there kitty, papa's never been happier to see you, how's the recent mommy doing?]

Hey girl.... [He'd pet you, but he's kind of filthy right now. He carefully gets to his feet, still swaying a little, and looks around.]

Crowley? [Where the hell are....

And that's about when a dead weight starts to settle in his gut. He scrabbles over to the couch, for the jacket hanging off the back and the phone inside it, Crowley you better answer the goddamn phone.]

[Maddie greets him insecure, Daddy you look horrible. She watches as Corinthian phone the demon but no one picks the phone. Reception in hell sucks apparently.]
